BEAUTY QUEEN

The Beauty Queen is also known as Ms. Primp.  She cannot leave the boat without spending at least an hour on her hair and another hour on her make-up.  When she's done, she looks the same as she did two hours previous.  Many experienced sailors and island travelers can get dressed and groomed in minutes flat, because they know that vacation time is too precious to worry about looking good for strangers they will never see again (and most of whom look just like they do).  The Beauty Queen needs at least two hours notice, but even if you supply it, she will make everyone wait for another 15 minutes.  Beauty Queen may also be related to Junkman, since she needs to bring along all of her beauty supplies.

Last time I had Ms. Primp aboard, I announced  "The dinghy is leaving for shore at 5:30 sharp -- be in it or swim ashore."  She thought I was kidding.  She was NOT late again.  She also won't crew with us again.
